Who are you?
Hi! I’m Jeff. I’m a County Supervisor here on the southwest side of Madison, Wisconsin. It is, objectively, the best legislative district on the planet. You can read more about me and my ideas on local governance on my website at www.glazer.vote.
I will occasionally post interesting things here about my life in public service. It might be something interesting going in my District, something interesting in the city, county, or country. It might even just be something interesting going on in my life that is particularly relevant.
Do You Have a Bio or Something?
I am a lawyer, professor, and entrepreneur. I have lived in Madison since 2007. I decided to run for office for a simple reason: I believe it is important to be an active and engaged citizen of the community. If I want my community to be better, I need to be an agent of change and do something about it.
Here are some examples of how I have been active in my community.
I on the Board and committees of the Madison Public Market and worked to get the Market started, including working working with the City’s Public Market Development Committee and the Market Ready companies. I started Madison Craft Beer Week in 2011 and ran it until 2015; I founded Madison Beer Review in 2007 and ran it until 2012. I was an organizer of Startup Weekend Madison. I am on the Board of Directors of the Platteville Farmer’s Market. I was on the Board of the Dunn’s Marsh Neighborhood Association for 5 years and its President for 2 years; I sat on the Allied Drive Taskforce; I was also on the Board of Directors for the Allied Wellness Center. I am past President of the Friends of the Arboretum for the UW-Madison Arboretum.
I have a wife, 3 kids, a dog, and two cats. I like reading, board games, camping, and hiking. I am terrible at guitar and am slightly better at spinning yarn.
